Teen Patti Rules: How to Play and What Beats What
Teen Patti deals three cards to each player. Everyone puts in a boot amount, then stakes go round in turn, rising as players commit. You either fold or stay in. When two players are left, one pays to see the other’s cards and the stronger hand takes the pot. Hands rank from trail down to high card.

Hand rankings
| Hand | What it is | Example | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trail (three of a kind) | Three cards of the same rank | A-A-A | Strongest |
| Pure sequence | Three consecutive cards, same suit | A-K-Q of hearts | 2nd |
| Sequence (run) | Three consecutive cards, mixed suits | A-K-Q mixed | 3rd |
| Colour (flush) | Three of the same suit, not consecutive | K-9-4 of spades | 4th |
| Pair | Two cards of the same rank | Q-Q-7 | 5th |
| High card | None of the above | A-J-6 mixed | Weakest |
Two points that catch people out. A sequence beats a colour, which is the reverse of standard poker. And A-K-Q is the highest sequence while A-2-3 is the second highest, so an ace works at both ends.
Blind and seen play, and why the stake differs
A blind player has not looked at their cards and stakes at half the current rate. A seen player has looked and stakes at double the blind rate.
That is the central mechanic of the game. Staying blind is cheaper per round, so you can survive more rounds on the same money, at the cost of deciding without information. Most of the judgement in Teen Patti is about when to stop being blind.
A round, step by step
- Everyone posts the boot amount, which is the minimum stake for the table.
- Three cards are dealt face down to each player.
- Play moves round. On your turn you fold, or you stake: half rate if blind, double if seen.
- Stakes can rise as players commit more.
- When two players remain, either can pay for a show.
- Cards are compared on the ranking above. The stronger hand takes the pot.
3 Patti Crown mein Teen Patti kaise khele?
Har khiladi ko teen cards milte hain. Pehle boot amount jama hota hai. Phir baari baari stake lagti hai: blind khelne par aadha, cards dekh kar (seen) khelne par poora. Jab do khiladi reh jayein to show hota hai aur behtareen hand jeet jati hai. Ranking upar table mein di gayi hai.
Table limits in 3 Patti Crown
Table minimums run PKR 50–100. Higher tables raise the boot and the per-round ceiling together, so a table three steps up moves your balance several times faster. Every game and its minimum is in the full game list.
Common beginner mistakes
- Going seen immediately. It doubles your cost per round for information you often cannot act on.
- Staying in on a pair because it feels strong. A low pair loses to any sequence.
- Chasing a pot you have already put money into. Money already staked is gone either way.
- Moving up a table after a win. The stake rises faster than the wins do.
What strategy can and cannot do
Folding weak hands early, staying blind longer than feels comfortable, and not moving up tables after a win are all genuine improvements. Over many rounds they change your results.
What no strategy does is remove the advantage built into the game. Anyone selling a trick that guarantees a win is selling you something that does not exist. Playing better means losing more slowly and winning more often, not winning reliably. Deciding what you are willing to spend is on the spending limits page.
Frequently asked questions
What beats what in Teen Patti?
From strongest down: trail (three of a kind), pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair, high card. A trail of three aces is the best hand and three twos is the lowest trail, which still beats any pure sequence.
What is the difference between blind and seen in Teen Patti?
A blind player has not looked at their cards and stakes at half the rate of a seen player. A seen player has looked and pays double. Playing blind is cheaper per round and is the reason experienced players often stay blind early.
3 Patti Crown mein Teen Patti kaise khele?
Har khiladi ko teen cards milte hain. Aap blind kheil sakte hain (cards dekhe baghair, aadha stake) ya seen (cards dekh kar, poora stake). Baari baari stake barhti hai jab tak do khiladi reh jayein, phir show hota hai aur behtareen hand jeet jati hai.
Is Teen Patti skill or luck?
Both. The cards are dealt at random, but when to fold, when to stay blind and how much to stake are decisions that change your results over many rounds. Skill improves the distribution; it does not overcome the advantage the game keeps.
What is the minimum Teen Patti stake in 3 Patti Crown?
Teen Patti table minimums run PKR 50–100, depending on which table you join. Higher tables raise both the boot amount and the ceiling on each round.
For a game where none of this applies, see Dragon vs Tiger, which is pure chance. The app itself is covered on the 3 Patti Crown app itself.
